Folks have been asking me since June 17th (the day after installation), how does it feel???? I now have an answer. I prefer “Chair” as opposed to Chairwoman. I prefer to MC on the floor as opposed to the stage. I still think Business for Breakfast is too darn early. I have committed to attend all chamber events unless my “Day Job” schedule conflicts. I have attended my first Breakfast, Lunch, Mixer, an Ambassadors meeting, a new members orientation, took headshots, written 2 messages from the chair, AND presided over 2 grand openings as chair… Whew. As we move forward, I ask for grace. I will not be your typical chair and with that I will make some mistakes. However, I have my plans, a strong executive board, board, staff, you, AND God to make this the best year ever. I have put my commitments out there and I expect to see you at any or all AV Chambers of Commerce events. Find me and say hi.
