About Us

The Los Alamos Historical Museum has a new address: 1050 Bathtub Row. We're in the same location, but our old address on Juniper Street was the back door, making it difficult for visitors and even Los Alamos residents to find us. The new address should make a trip to the museum simple and even more fun!

Bathtub Row is the Manhattan Project Era name of the street in the heart of the Los Alamos Historic District just west of Fuller Lodge. It was dubbed so during the project because the former masters’ cottages of the Los Alamos Ranch School were the only homes with bathtubs during the war. Although designated as 20th Street after the war, the name was changed two years ago to reflect its historic significance
