Space available for your business on the Chamber's digital sign!

The Marion Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee members worked together to design and coordinate the construction of the new digital and stone outdoor sign at the Chamber office. The Marion Chamber of Commerce makes the electronic sign available for rent to a wide variety of Chamber members, local businesses, organizations, community groups and residents.

Ads can be up to 2 lines of text with the typical line containing about 18 characters (including spaces). Ads will be displayed twice for 15 seconds each on a 5 minute loop. We allow for a maximum of 10 ads, which means each ad is live on the board 576 times every day and approximately 17,520 times per month. The sign runs 24/7 so your message gets maximum exposure.

SI Chambers of Commerce Seeking Protection Against Electricity Plant Closures

Click here to learn how you can save with the Southern Illinois Chamber of Commerce Bulk Buying Group.

Seeking protection against seemingly inevitable future electricity price increases, Southern Illinois Chambers of Commerce are taking a proactive approach to help secure long-term rates for their members.

Just a few short months ago, announcements of coal-fired electric generation plant closures in Newton and two in Baldwin, IL were announced.  Following that announcement came the news that a nuclear power plant in Clinton, IL would also be closing.  All closures came with formal dates for the closures after Illinois legislators failed to bring up proposed legislation seeking a legislative response or “subsidy” to keep these plants operating at profit levels viable to the companies who own them.

For the event, the Chamber will promote the event through all of its communication methods, provide member mailing labels for invitations when requested and attend the event. The Chamber member's responsibility for the event can include sending special invitations to Chamber Members and their customers (must include the Chamber logo on printed materials), providing food and beverages at the event, providing door prizes at the event and making a presentation about their business/organization. The Business After Hours Program fee is $100. There is no cost to Chamber members to attend the event.

CALENDAR NETWORK

The Marion Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Chamber Nation to provide its members with the Official Calendar Network. The Official Calendar Network has been created to help communities easily inter-connect all of their businesses, organizations and events. An advanced central calendar network will make it easy to promote the region through the Official Mobile App and Official Area Network. Imagine ONE CALENDAR for the ENTIRE COMMUNITY. Easily accessed through websites, search engines and mobile applications. Selecting the particular organization to see only their events, or look at all community-wide events at the same time. Community event planners love it because they can easily coordinate and not plan conflicting events. Calendars and events have a dramatic impact on local economic development... we don't take calendar management lightly. For more information, click here. All Marion Chamber of Commerce members can submit their events, press releases, etc. through our Member Management System. To log in, click here
