September Membership Drive

Do you know someone that would make a great chamber member?  Perhaps someone who dropped their membership and would like to get re-engaged?

September is a great time to do it.  Through the entire month of September, in honor of Chamber of Commerce Week, we will feature a 16-month membership (from now through all of 2019) at the annual investment level. Membership packets are available online and at the chamber office.

How to create an elevator pitch that doesn’t sound cheesy.

When you’re crafting your introductory lines, keep these fundamentals in mind.

Legislative Summit

We had a great turnout of citizens and regional leaders at this year's Marion Chamber Legislative Summit.

From the Legislative Affairs Committee Co-Chair - Mary Jo McCurdy: “We always appreciate elected officials who make time in their busy schedule to attend The Summit. We realize all have dozens of places they could share their time, yet they chose our Marion Chamber Event. Equally important are those who attend The Summit and The entire Committee and Chamber Staff who put everything in action.  The Legislative Affairs Action Committee is comprised of many community leaders who are happy to devote time and energy to drive home the message of local economy, local values and local concerns. How refreshing.  I am very thankful to work for an organization who values the same principles and affords me the time to devote to our communities. I urge others to plug into your local Chambers.  You can make a difference.”

Special thanks to members of the Legislative Affairs Committee: Gail Barger, Dalus Ben Avi, Amber Ciochetto, Dale Fowler, Hayden Gardiner, David Harp, Deborah Hogg, Robert Jellen, Janet Jensen, Mary Jo McCurdy, Dave McReynolds, Bill Nielsen, Dr. Jim Parker, DVM, Anthony Rinella, Dave Severin, Ashlee Spiller, Scott Walker, and Brian Ziegler
