EVERY DAY IS VETERANS DAY

One Senior Place will present "Every Day is Veterans Day" at 8085 Spyglass Hill Road in Viera on Friday, September 12 from 10:00 AM through 1:00 PM. Admission is free. Co-sponsored by VITAS Innovative Hospice, "Every Day is Veterans Day" will feature a keynote address by Brigadier General Wilma L. Vaught, USAF, Retired. The Brigadier General will present, “Called to Serve: A History of Women in the Military.” Numerous veterans and military organizations will be represented at the event, which will also include a color guard, music, refreshments, door prizes and information for veterans.
While an RSVP is not required, attendees are encouraged to call (321) 751-6771 so that organizers can fully accommodate the expected large turnout. Keynote speaker Brigadier General Wilma Vaught is one of the most highly decorated women in American military history. Military accomplishments aside, her most lasting contributions may be those related to the establishment of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery.

Founders Forum Announces 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year
The Founders Forum announced today that Mahesh “Mike” Shah, founder and president of Southeast Petro Distributors, Inc., has been named its 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year. Shah will be honored at an award dinner on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place.
The September event is the first Founders Forum meeting in the 2014-2015 series, which is underwritten again this year by the Florida High Tech Corridor Council and Anuva Manufacturing Services. SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT SEEKING TEAMS AND SPONSORS
Alpha Tau Omega at Florida Tech is hosting a charity softball tournament on Saturday, October 4 to benefit the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. The fraternity is seeking local businesses to get involved by creating a team or donating raffle items.
The annual event, which draws a great turnout from Florida Tech students, is branching out this year to include local baseball league teams, teams from local businesses, and teams from local community centers. They are expecting an attendance of over 200 people.
