Treetop Trek announces Trail of Terror
This Halloween season, a thrilling new attraction is opening in Brevard County. Located at Treetop Trek, the half-mile Trail of Terror will send scare-seekers on a nocturnal journey through a pitch-black forest where horrifying surprises lurk behind each tree. “We’re pulling out all the stops for Trail of Terror,” said Andrea Hill, marketing and communications director. “It’s going to be unlike anything this county has ever seen. Our goal is to scare your pants off.”

Hill added that her team has been working with seasoned industry professionals to bring the Trail to life. More than 50 actors are slated to participate each evening. State-of-the-art makeup, special effects and elaborate sets elevate the experience with hauntingly vivid detail. A party featuring live music, alcoholic beverages and made-to-order food awaits guests at the end of the Trail.

Trail of Terror is presented by Toyota of Melbourne and is recommended for ages 16 and up. The Trail runs from 8:30 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights from October 9 to October 31. “I DREAM OF JEANNIE” STAR RETURNS TO SPACE COAST
Barbara Eden to Perform at 50th Anniversary of Iconic TV Series

Barbara Eden, the star of the 1960s sitcom, “I Dream of Jeannie,” returns to Florida’s Space Coast on Sunday, October 25 for the 50th anniversary of the premiere of the iconic show set in Cocoa Beach, FL. 
 
“On the Magic Carpet with Barbara Eden” will feature Ms. Eden and “Entertainment Tonight” and Showtime movie reporter Bill Harris on stage at the Scott Center Auditorium on the campus of Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne.  The performance will take guests back into Jeannie’s Magic Bottle in a fun-filled evening of storytelling and the screening of rare and never before seen film clips featuring Barbara Eden and such stars as Elvis Presley, Paul Newman, Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope, and her “I Dream of Jeannie” co-star Larry Hagman.
 
The show and Ms. Eden’s appearance are largely made possible due in part to the support of SCB Marketing and the Brevard County Tourist Development Council’s Special Event Marketing Grant Program and the Space Coast Office of Tourism.
 
“On the Magic Carpet” will take place on Sunday, October 25 at 6:45 p.m.  General admission tickets are priced at $39, and Meet & Greet tickets are $99 per person.  Space is limited to the size of the Scott Center Auditorium. Tickets are available exclusively at Events.com.

Medical Laser Device Company, Erchonia, Selects Brevard
Company relocation to increase innovation technology cluster on the Space Coast
Erchonia Corporation, a medical laser device manufacturing company, will relocate its operations to Melbourne, Florida and create 35 new jobs. The company, currently based out of McKinney, Texas, plans to build a 20,000 square foot facility in the North Drive Industrial area of Melbourne allowing for better access to its core client base.

Erchonia’s market leading low-level laser therapy (3LT) applies low intensity photonic energy as a treatment modality and is used in a number of treatment applications, including neck and shoulder pain, laser assisted liposuction, and non-invasive body contouring and is among the most used in the world. Erchonia continues to conduct clinical trials on additional applications.

Erchonia’s expansion is expected to bring 35 jobs with an average annual wage of $62,000 and a $5.3 million dollar capital investment.
