SHOP SMALL WITH US!
Saturday, November 28th
 Join us for Shop Small Saturday - November 28th. Come shop and support the area's small retail, service and restaurant businesses. The chamber is having a kick-off event from 9:00AM to 10:00AM, at the chamber office in Downtown Melbourne. Coffee and pastries will be provided by Digital Ink (while supplies last). Then we move downtown, with Melbourne Main Street, to give out souvenir Shop Small bags and a list of merchants giving 10% off to shoppers with the merchant list.
Viera shoppers: The chamber will be at the Avenue from 10:00AM to Noon, giving out Shop Small shopping bags and the list of participating merchants offering 10%.

Melbourne Mainstreet's Holiday Tree Lighting Saturday, November 28
EVENT BEGINS AT 5:00PM WITH THE TREE LIGHTING AT 6:00PM.
Historic Downtown Melbourne invites you to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the holiday season fashioned after Olde English country holiday traditions. Shops remain open late, are lit with white candles and lights, and serve such holiday fare as cakes, cookies, teas, apple cider, coffee and hot chocolate. Evenings feature a variety of holiday entertainment with musicians, choirs, carolers, carriage rides and of course 'Father Christmas' strolling through downtown. So bring your family or grab some friends and join us this Holiday Season!
Harbor City Harmonizers Annual Christmas Concert, 2015
It is that time of the year and once again the Harbor City Harmonizers are presenting their 12th Sounds of the Season Christmas Show. There will be a surprise or two as not all of our songs will be a cappella and not all will be in the traditional barbershop harmony. We will sing some songs in other languages and from different faiths. There will be songs for everyone.
So, come, sit back, relax and enjoy an afternoon of Christmas Songs as the Harbor City Harmonizers and the Platinum Show Chorus of Sweet Adelines International fame proudly presents the Sounds of the Season XII, our annual 2015 Christmas Concert. Chapter quartets from both choruses will also be part of the show.

Five community leaders join The Children's Hunger Project Board of Directors
The Children’s Hunger Project has expanded its Board of Directors. The local charity has expanded to reach its lofty goals of providing weekend food packages to children who come to school hungry on Monday mornings. The Board provides oversight of the charity and advocacy for proper nutrition for children, which is needed for scholastic success.
As new members of the board of directors, David Brooks, Kendall Moore, Larry Lohman, Steven Montgomery, and Summit Shaw will be involved in strategic planning while advising and helping to direct fundraising activities and implementation of the organization's goals. Each is entrusted to follow the charity's nine-word business plan: See a hungry kid. Buy food. Feed the kid.
Henegar Center Play Contest
After the tremendous success of the premiere of the New Works Festival last season, The Henegar Center is very excited to announce the 2nd Annual New Works Festival!
This year, in an effort to continue to encourage new and original material, The Henegar is looking for full two act plays for submission, rather than one act plays.
