Weekend Headliner:Mystery of the Weekend — a cold-case investigation for sleuths and puzzle lovers called "Letters From Dead People", the complete 1927-1928 case file. Newspaper clippings, postcards, and diary pages are just a few of the documents you'll enjoy shifting through as you piece together the story of infamous 1920s psychic Mina Bird and her adventures through Prohibition-era New Orleans.

Carla Gabrielsen, Bereavement Coordinator at Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care, will present on Anticipatory Grief, which is mourning the loss of someone still alive, yet not the same as they once were. Watching a loved one’s capabilities diminish can trigger feelings of sadness, sorrow and helplessness. We will explore some coping strategies. This event is open to the public and free of charge. Carla joined Lumina in 2024 as our Bereavement Coordinator bringing years of experience as a social worker and a LMFT in California and Alaska. Carla has worked in the school system with grieving children and their families and as a community therapist.
