“Fly Into Summer” at Aerospace Discovery
The Aerospace Center for Excellence will host “Fly Into Summer” on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Aerospace Discovery at the Florida Air Museum, located on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus 4175 Medulla Rd., Lakeland, FL.
This family friendly event includes free admission to Aerospace Discovery at the Florida Air Museum, the Official Aviation Museum of the state of Florida. Participants will also enjoy STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) based arts and crafts, a bounce house, a scavenger hunt for FREE Galati Joes, and can enter a contest to win a drone!
Movies will be shown at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Super Summer Success
The Learning Resource Center's Super Summer Success offers elementary students a fun way to gain important skills in reading and math. Classes are small and include hands-on, high-interest activities as well as interactive teaching. If your child needs a little extra review this summer, Super Summer Success is for you!
Camp READY! Bartow
The Learning Resource Center of Polk County's Camp READY! prepares rising and repeating kindergartners for academic success. Through hands-on, experiential learning centers, students experience learning that is fun! With art, music and movement, cooking, and reading-readiness centers, Camp READY! builds pre-reading skills while also providing a safety net to allow children more time to continue motor, social and cognitive development. LRC's Camp READY! students demonstrate growth of seven months from pre- to post- assessment.

Polk County Supervisor of Elections Lori Edwards will host an informational meeting for anyone interested in working at the polls for the 2016 elections. These are paid positions, ranging from one day to several weeks. Interested voters may attend on:
