Women in Support of Women in Boulder City

We are a group of women who meet for fun and friendship to support each other emotionally, physically, and financially in our businesses, personal life, and organizations.  Food and wine are optional but we do meet at a great location Chilly Jilly'z 1680 Nevada Highway.  Our group meets at 5pm until you want to go home on the 2nd monday of every month.  There is no RSVP required, no membership required and no fee.

Ally Training Sessions

For the next two months, PFLAG of Boulder City will be host ally training sessions, to educate people on LGBT issues and how they can better support the LGBT community.
 
The two sessions will be different but work in tandem and are based on curriculum provided by the Safe Zone Project. The Project is online at thesafezoneproject.com.
 
Our board meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Both hours are open to the public. Those who attend are straight and gay.

Safe Zone Training Program

PFLAG of Boulder City would like to present its training program "SAFE ZONE". It is a nationally recognized curriculum that is appropriate as employee training or as personal enrichment. This curriculum teaches us to be better allies of the LGBTQ community. The training is appropriate for teens and adults. It is for one hour on June 27 and continues for one hour on July 27th (a Thursday). If you cannot come to both, it is still beneficial to come to one.

BC Art Guild June Featured Artist Exhibit

* BoulderCity Art Guild Gallery presents their June Featured Artist~
* *  Lloyd Martin * *


Mr. Martin will be featuring works in watercolors, oils, acrylics, and pastels, but he also enjoys woodworking, sculpture and photography. His paintings have been juried into many national art exhibitions throughout the U.S. and his works have been purchased by individual collectors in the US, Europe and Asia. He  has also received many awards for his works, most recently a first place in the juried invitational exhibit held by City Lights Gallery in Henderson and an award winning pastel entered in the Helldorado Days Art exhibit, that has been hung at LasVegas City Hall.
Lloyd is a current member of  the Boulder City Art Guild and has been a member of Southern Nevada Watercolor Society and several other art groups in the Las Vegas area.
