Strike It Rich Youth Mentoring Bowl-A-Thon

It's time to STRIKE up a bowling team representing your business!

Youth Mentoring programs at Helping Services is hosting their annual bowl-a-thon on March 5, and it's time to put a team together. This event raises needed funds to connect local youth with a trusted role model.
Will you bring a team and come bowl to sustain the rich relationships of Youth Mentoring?  It is as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Form a team and register. Make a team with three friends. Choose your preferred bowling time: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Registering by February 26 gets your team the time slot you prefer. If you are seeking a team with which to bowl, call Kathy, 563-387-1720.

  2. Collect donations, and promote Youth Mentoring. All the donations you collect will be used to further the mentoring mission. Each team member should collect at least $50 to support the mentoring mission. You can even set up an online fundraising page to ask people far away to support your team’s efforts.

  3. Bowl on Saturday, March 5. Wear your prospecting outfits, if you’d like, and bring your donation collection sheet and donations to Oneota Lanes in Decorah. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your bowling time to check in, get your shoes, and select your bowling ball. Please join us for a light meal around noon to thank you for supporting mentoring. Have fun bowling.

As a whole, the bowlers and Youth Mentoring staff are trying to raise $10,000. All of these donations will be put to great use to create tools, events, and trainings. It will also help match even more kids with a mentor.

Register your team at www.helpingservices.org/mentoring

If you’d rather not bring a team, but would like to donate to the cause, you can give online or mail your gift to Helping Services Youth Mentoring, P.O. Box 372, Decorah, IA 52101. Please put BAT in the memo.
