06/30/1338th Lamoille Country Fair
For the 38th year in a row, Lamoille Woman’s Club will hold the Lamoille Country Fair, which has become an eagerly awaited annual event in northeastern Nevada and especially the Spring Creek area. The Fair has become a delightful tradition, an opportunity for families to enjoy the country charm of scenic Lamoille at the foot of the beautiful Ruby Mountains and wander among booths in Lamoille Grove that contain an amazing variety of local and state artists' unique handcrafted items including original artwork, jewelry, dolls, furniture, stained glass, pottery, garden art, quilts, birdhouses, beadwork, metal art, and many other items. This year the Fair will feature crafters from Nevada, neighboring states, and states as far away as Washington and California. Fair goers will delight in the delicious refreshments from the many great food vendors. Don't miss out in the refreshments area on a glass of the LWC's famous homemade lemonade. The children will delight in the many activities and games as well as the refreshments. Fair goers will have an opportunity to buy raffle tickets for the highly prized LWC Country Fair quilt, a beautiful, handcrafted 89" X 89" quilt. This year’s Fair quilt has been named “A Walk in the Canyon”, because its vibrant colors remind onlookers of a Fall walk in Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mountains. There is no admission charge, and the proceeds of the Fair benefit the Lamoille Woman's Club's projects, scholarships, and support activities within our community. In addition to parking within Lamoille, there will be a Park N' Ride option at Lamoille Canyon Road which includes a buckboard/wagon service and van. The Lamoille Country Fair spells a wonderful Sunday in the country for all the family with something for everyone. Note: Sorry, for safety reasons, no pets are allowed at the event. Vendors are still being sought for this annual event; the booth application deadline is May 15th. Food vendors’ applications are due no later than June 15th. Booth applications and information are available from LWC President Martha Wallace at (775) 385-3502, Elisabeth Moore at (775) 778-0514, or from the Lamoille Woman’s Club website at http://www.lamoillewomansclub.org.
