Mohawk Community Art Faire

Mohawk Community Art Faire, a fundraiser for Mohawk Community Resource Center, features a two day fair with works of art and crafts for sale by local and visiting artists. Come by and do some early holiday shopping for unique, hand-made items, enjoy a cup of tea or cocoa, and enter the raffle to bring home one of several handmade works of art. Entry is free.

Friday, November 28 10am-4pm and Saturday, November 29 10am-3pm

UCCE Master Gardener Training

13 week training, Fridays, September 5th - December 5th

During this 13 week workshop local volunteers will be trained by UC experts and local professionals in advanced plant science and sustainable gardening practices that are applicable to local conditions. Upon completion of the training, volunteers share their newly acquired knowledge with the community through the media, talks and workshops.  

Residents of Plumas & Sierra Counties are encouraged to apply.  Prior horticulture experience is encouraged but not required.  We are seeking applicants with a strong volunteer ethic and a desire to make a long-term commitment to the program and their community.
