2018 Farmer's Market at Sierra Valley Farms

The Romano’s Farmers Market hosts local vendors who are hand-selected for their quality and product. The market opens the first Friday in June from 10 am-2:00 pm. and continues for 15 weeks until the second Friday in September.

Romano’s Certified Farmers Market was voted by vendors as their “favorite” farmers market that they attend, and is considered “the most fun market” of all the farmers market that our customers attended in 2017!!!

We have 25 vendors; a “one-stop shop” for patrons who can get seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, local meats, fresh fish from pacific coast, baked goods, mushrooms, condiments, wines and wine tasting, deli meats and cheese, organic milk and dairy, and many other locally crafted artisan value-added products and crafts.

Lost & Found Gravel Grinder

LOST AND FOUND GRAVEL GRINDER: JUNE 2, 2018

30 mile, 60 mile and 100 mile epically beautiful bike ride.

A perfect blend of pavement, dirt road, gravel road and historic railroad grade.

The route is 100 miles with 7,000′ of elevation gain and is 80% dirt. Also available are two shorter course options; 30 miles and 60 miles. Racers and riders from around the world will be invited to lose themselves and find this two-wheeled paradise. A full weekend of high sierra fun for riders and non-riders alike.

Show & Shine

We hold our annual Show and Shine at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds located In Quincy, California on the first Saturday in June.

Saturday morning begins with breakfast provided by the Quincy Lions Club. Registration begins at 8:00AM. Activities include raffle prizes, our famous "Hole Shot Drags",, a "Sound OFF Competition" and Trophy presentations.

We also begin the weekend with a Friday afternoon "HAPPY DAYS" event on the fairgrounds lawn in the late afternoon with a Drive-In Movie and popcorn to cap off the evening. Come join us for a fantastic event!!

The Artist's Way Orientation

“The Artist’s Way” is an empowering book for aspiring and working artists and all creatives. Authored by Julia Cameron, the course is a comprehensive 12-week program to recover your creativity from a variety of blocks, replacing them with creative confidence and productivity.

Spaghetti Dinner

Mohawk Community Resource Center will be hosting its' Annual Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, June 8.  There will be two seatings; the first at 5:00 pm and the second at 7:00 pm.  This is a fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting the Resource Center.  Tickets are being sold at the Resource Center.

Speakers Bureau

Chris David will be speaking about his new program to train horses to perform.  The presentation will move outside as we observe Chris and his horse performing.  At MCRC, Hwy 70 and 89 near the Corner Barn.  Free, though a $5.00+ donation is welcome to help fund MCRC.

Tour de Manure!   June 16, 2018
Cycle the bucolic pasturelands and historic ranching communities of Sierra Valley, CA
Start: Sierraville Firehouse, 102 Main St., Sierraville, CA
           Registration begins at 7 a.m., Ride begins between 8 and 9 a.m.
Routes: 62 and 42 mile loops and a 30 mile out and back, not timed
Fees: $60 for sign up by June 10th, $70 for sign ups June 11th to day of Tour, $30 for riders 12 and under
Parking: On the street in Sierraville or in free private lots assisted by parking attendants
Included: A 10th ANNIVERSARY “ROARING BULL” T-Shirt, rest stop food and drink, SAG support, a post Tour party with grilled smoked tri-tip, BBQ chicken, veggie pasta, veggie beans, salad, chips and salsa, garlic bread, lemonade, cookies, and live retro country rock ‘n’ roll music by Michael Hogan and the Simpletones.

Paws on Parade

Join High Sierra Animal Rescue for this free, family-friendly event with plenty of activities for kids and dogs.

Highlights include the Walk to Save Homeless Pets, the Retrievers Ball, raffle, and multiple vendor and informational booths.

Enjoy live music by Benny, Penny & Dude, as well as Agility & Flyball demonstrations throughout the day.

Graeagle Health and Wellness Expo


The 3rd annual Health and Wellness Expo in Graeagle will be held on Saturday, June 23rd, 10:00 - 2:00 pm.  This Wellness Fair is designed to help the community explore all the different options in the health and wellness spectrum in the Mohawk Valley-Portola area.

The fair also supports local health and wellness providers by offering broad visibility within the community and the opportunity to connect directly with residents.  The Expo, held at Graeagle Fire Hall, has free entry to the public, and those attending the Expo may participate in a raffle for 20 different prizes.  Proceeds from this event will support the The Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce

GET READY FOR THE 2018 MOHAWK VALLEY INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Plan ahead for this family-friendly event by marking your calendar for the yearly hometown celebration that only Graeagle can offer.
From 'Dance at The Corner Barn', 5k & 10 K Fun run, an aerial fireworks display over Graeagle Mill Pond, and the spectacular MVID Parade/Day in the Park events, Graeagle is the place to be on Fourth of July weekend.

Dance at the Barn will be Friday, June 29, the fireworks on June 30, and the parade will be Sunday, July 1. We will provide more information and updates as soon as the committee meets to plan this year’s event schedule.
