St. Anthony's Charitable Foundation Golf Tourn.
St. Anthony’s Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament to benefit St. Anthony’s Hospice Program and the Fern and Russell F. de Greeff Hospice House The Hospice program’s mission is to serve the physical and emotional well-being of the community, particularly the poor and underserved. St. Anthony’s Hospice Program is a special concept of care designed to provide one-of-a-kind comfort and support to patients and their families faced with a terminal illness. While many of our patients remain at home or reside in nursing homes, others come to the Fern & Russell F. de Greeff Hospice House when receiving in-home care is no longer an option. Considered to be the model for quality and compassionate care at the end-of-life, the Fern and Russell F. de Greeff Hospice House is the only freestanding Hospice House in eastern Missouri. The cost of caring for one patient at de Greeff Hospice House is approximately $613.00 per day. More than $600,000.00 in charity care was provided to hospice patients in 2011. Special events such as the 2012 St. Anthony’s Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament make it possible for our hospice programs to continue to deliver the best care to each patient every day, including the uninsured and underinsured.
