| 09/28/12 | Friday Night Farmer's Day Events The 86th Annual Farmer's Day theme is, Kimball...Uniting the Past, Present and Future. Events on Friday night kick-off this years "FUN" week-end. Come and enjoy an evening of excitement starting with a soup supper at 5:00 pm at the Senior Center. Then over to the Kimball Event Center for the Craft Fair from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. While there, join in on the 6th Annual "Salsa Tasting Contest" at 6:00 pm. You can enter by bringing 1 quart of your "special homemade" salsa, ready to sample, by 5:00 pm to the Event Center, (must complete an entry form). Judging will be by the public, between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. A fee of $2.00 per person to taste and judge the salsas. From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm "Cruise" up & down 3rd. St. during our Cruise Night, as you remember those "Good Old Days" of the fifties. At 7:00 pm, the Kimball Community Theatre will present the Melodrama production of "Wash Your Troubles Away or Dirty Deeds Come Clean". The Derby will be held at the Kimball County fairgrounds arena and starts at 3:00 p.m. Check-in is from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All rules for Compact and Regular Cars are available at the Kimball-Banner County Chamber Office located at 122 S. Pilots from Colorado, Nebraska & Wyoming will strut their stuff in this annual event. All R/C pilots are invited to participate. No entry fee, No prizes...just a GREAT DAY TO FLY!
