Children's Community Christian Choir (4C)

"Private Violence" HBO Documentary Screening

New Life Center is hosting a public screening of the HBO Documentary "Private Violence" on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Goodyear Library as part of our Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities in the community. This film follows the story of one advocate and one survivor working toward justice in a system that continues to ask "why don't victims just leave?" This is a powerful film that will shed light on the horrors of domestic violence in our communities across the nation.

Fire Prevention Open House

To kick off Fire Prevention Awareness Week, Avondale firefighters welcome the community into their “house” with an open house event for the public.
 
Learn valuable information that can keep you and your family safe from fire danger while enjoying free food and fun for the entire family. Special entertainment will be provided by Fireman Billy Scott, who will perform songs about fire safety. Fire engines and equipment will be on display to engage children in discussions on the importance of fire prevention. Learn about emergency preparedness and home fire escape planning. Station tours will be available as well!
