Karin Brilliant Hupp

They’re Back, Y’all! Third in this series of hilarious plays, each set in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, the “third-smallest” town in the state. Keith Wick and Stephen Frankenfield play the entire cast of over twenty eccentric characters of both genders and various ages. An affectionate and satirical commentary on small-town, Southern life and attitudes. Along with Tuna’s perennial favorites, some new Tuna residents burst into the 4th of July Tuna High School Class Reunion, setting the stage for a show full of fireworks and fun.

The Effect

The Effect is a clinical romance. Two young volunteers, Tristan and Connie, agree to take part in a clinical drug trial. Succumbing to the gravitational pull of attraction and love, however, Tristan and Connie manage to throw the trial off-course, much to the frustration of the clinicians involved. This funny, moving and perhaps surprisingly human play explores questions of sanity, neurology and the limits of medicine, alongside ideas of fate, loyalty and the inevitability of physical attraction. Contains adult themes/ language.
