Theatre on the Ridge "BRIGHT STAR" Auditions

THEATRE ON THE RIDGE
AUDITIONS
"BRIGHT STAR"

Music, Book & Story by Steve Martin
Music, Lyrics & Story by Edie Brickell
Directed by Judy Clemens
Musical Direction by Tamara Allspaugh

Inspired by a real event, this original musical tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and '40s. When literary editor Alice Murphy meets a young soldier just home from World War II, he awakens her longing for the child she once lost. Haunted by their unique connection, Alice sets out on a journey to understand her past - and what she finds has the power to transform both of their lives. An uplifting theatrical journey that holds you tight in its grasp, Bright Star is as refreshingly

genuine as it is daringly hopeful.

Saturday, July 6 at 1:00 p.m.
3735 Neal Rd ~ Paradise

Prepare 20 bars of a song that best displays your vocal range and ability. Bring your own digital karaoke background tracks. No acapella.
The style of music in this show is folk/bluegrass/
country, so if you're a singer with a guitar,
