Al Holliday and the East Side Rhythm Band is the featured artist for Lovejoy Library’s “Night in the Stacks” annual fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 11 at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Lovejoy Library.

The event is on the main level of the library and free parking is available in Lot A.

“We are excited to have Al Holliday performing, whose band has built its reputation for its hard-driving, world class R&B and distinct brand of soul music,” said Library and Information Services (LIS) Interim Dean Lydia Jackson. “Revenue from the event will support Lovejoy Library’s renovations and enhancements to allow for a better user experience for students, faculty and community members who utilize the library.”

Part of the fundraising efforts will consist of a silent auction that will include items from performers of the Mississippi River Festival, as well as other unique items.

Sugo’s Spaghetteria will provide dinner, and there will be a cash bar for the evening.
