During eight one-hour lunch sessions at Edison's Entertainment Complex, be part of a discussion of a top-selling business book, Hug Your Haters.

Touted as the first modern book on customer service, Hug Your Haters is a delightful and inspiring read that can help your company thrive in this 'all-complaints-are-public' era.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
  1. The two types of Haters and what they want from you when they complain
  2. How to handle trolls
  3. How to measure customer service the right way
  4. The precise customer loyalty impacts of answering complaints (or not answering) by channel
  5. Why you need to answer every complaint, in every channel, every time
  6. A specific framework for exactly how to answer private complaints
  7. A specific framework for exactly how to answer public complaints
  8. Where you should spend most of your time in social media
  9. How fast you need to be when responding to customers, by channel
  10. The future of customer service, including specialized apps and new technologies
  11. Software recommendations for handling online and offline customer service for both small and large businesses
Cost to attend is just $10 for lunch, payable directly to Edison's upon arrival. RSVPs ARE REQUIRED for each session and must be made no later than 24 hours in advance. Food and handouts will be prepared only for those guests who have submitted an RSVP more than 24 hours in advance.

PARADE INFO
Each year on Halloween night, an estimated crowd of 25,000 spectators line the streets of downtown Edwardsville in anticipation of this annual tradition. The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce has brought the Halloween parade to the community for nearly 100 years. Marching bands, school groups, organizations, entertainers, and more than 100 floats take to the streets. The 2018 Halloween parade theme will be announced to the public late August, 2018 - sponsorship and registration information will become available at that time.

PARADE ROUTE
Promptly at 6:30pm Wednesday, October 31, 2018, the parade will leave Lincoln Middle School parking lot at Schwarz & West Streets, then travel east on St. Louis Street to Vandalia Street, then north on North Main Street and will disband at High Street.

Spectator parking is available in the 'super lot' east of Main Street, and on side streets along the parade route. The Jerry's Tire Sales lot is reserved for handicap parking. Portapots will be available at Walgreen's, First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust, and Big Daddy's.
