Costume Fashion and Upcycled Trashion highlights the 8th Annual Fall Splendor Fundraiser for the Southern Humboldt Community Park.

Burningleaf Productions is delighted to announce the 8th annual Fall Splendor Fashion Show Fundraiser for the Southern Humboldt Community Park. Saturday, October 21st, at The Historic Eagle House in Eureka, California. This years theme: Up Up and Away, An Odd and Elegant Steampunk Adventure. This wildly successful event comes to Eureka this year as the long awaited rezoning of the Community Park is now complete and it moves forward to share and educate the whole Humboldt Community with the opportunities that the Park has to offer.

Gather at 8:00pm to be captivated by a Dance, Aerial and Steampunk Emporium showcase by ten talented performer artists. This years Fashion Show featuring independent designers and local artisans includes elements of costume fashion and Trashion in the themes of Daily Wear, Aviators and Engineers, Feathered and Feline, Weird Science and The Royal Ball. Humboldt’s finest models will be wearing these original outfits as they strut the catwalk to the eclectic sounds of Marjo Lak. After the Fashion Show and Live Auction, guests are invited to dance the night away with Live music and talented DJ’s.

Five piece Sepiatonic will be traveling from Portland to Eureka to share their vaudeville-inspired dance and music experience. Some parts theatrical show, some parts wild dance party, this project brings innovative audio and visual entertainment! Featuring original live and electronic music, electro-swing, balkan beats, hip-hop, funk, and more. Sepiatonic brings vintage class into today’s electronic music and puts a bumpin’ booty party into a vaudeville experience!

The mad-musical scientist known as saQi is a classically trained composer, producer and trumpet player. Drawing his name from the Sufi title for a mystic muse, saQi creates deep and funky dance floor jams that rock the party yet still maintain a grace and musical sophistication to engage the listener. His sound is unique and eclectic, therefore it often escapes genre classifications and any current.
