Lil'Megs Pumpkin Patch is a small family farm who started not just a pumpkin patch, but a pumpkin farm! Located in the beautiful Sierra Valley just underneath the scenic Beckwourth Peak! The family run pumpkin patch has been open for six years now and continues to create so much fun and excitement with each year opened! Lil'Megs Pumpkin Patch focus's on growing their specialty pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, creating the games themselves, and have a bake sale! It's a beautiful day drive and a super cute pumpkin patch! All of the pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, and corn stalk bundles are for sale and vary in price by size and type. There is quite a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors which make Lil'Megs Pumpkin Patch stand out from the rest. Food For Change is an 82-minute documentary film focusing on food co-ops as a force for dynamic social and economic change in American culture. This is the first film to examine the important historical role played by food co-ops, their pioneering quest for organic foods, and their current efforts to create regional food systems. Additionally, the film shows how cooperatives today strengthen local economies and build food security. The goal is to educate a wide audience about the principles of cooperation with a focus on healthy food and a healthy economy.

Merchants Safe Trick or Treat down Main Street Chester is a Halloween tradition. Merchants up and down the street happily open their doors to children of all ages to share in the fun. Safe crossing of streets is provided by the Interact Club at Chester High School. Merchants open their doors from 3 - 5 pm. Costume Contest from 3 - 5 pm at Stover Landing Commons parking lot 278 Main Street, sponsored by Lake Almanor Area Chamber.
