CrossFit Xtra Mile’s coaching position is a full time, salaried position with a benefits package. You will be joining an experienced coaching staff and a membership base of 200+ members. You will also be joining the team as we make our way into a new facility that will be the best in St. Louis. The coaching staff works together to improve coaching skills and the gym provides bi monthly coaching development training, along with certification assistance.

CrossFit Xtra Mile opened their first location in January 2012, and opened their second location in May of 2016. Since the start Xtra Mile has raised the bar of fitness in St Louis. When you join our team, you will be joining a team that includes 40+ years of coaching experience, and the core of the coaching staff has been with Xtra Mile since the start. Our clients range from athletes of all ages and experience levels which provides coaches a chance to get a wide variety of coaching experience.

For this position you must have CrossFit Level 1 certification or higher and have a minimum of 1 years coaching experience. The position has a competitive salary and also a company matched retirement program.

Description:
Hillside Preschool at Fenton United Methodist Church is seeking an experienced Preschool Director/Lead Teacher to oversee the administration, curriculum and supervision of two licensed preschool classrooms. The Director will serve as part of the Fenton United Methodist Church administrative team. The Director/Lead Teacher must uphold the beliefs of the United Methodist Church and its teachings.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the management of Hillside Preschool including staff, children, parents and volunteers
• Track and record hours worked, paid time off, FMLA time, etc. Complete time sheets bi-weekly and submit to payroll administrator
• Promote and publicize the preschool, hold an Open House and give tours to potential parents
• Enroll potential students and complete children’s files
• Collect tuition
• Complete exit forms for all children leaving the center’s programs
• Assist with drop-ins, donations and volunteers
• Open and close the school as necessary.

Program Management:
• Maintain a warm, safe and nurturing environment
• Maintain a positive relationship with parents, families, staff and Pastor
• Coordinate classroom enrollment and transitions for students
• Ensure quality Christian programming including Jesus Time
• Develop and coordinate program curriculum for the school year including, in-school parties, Christmas program, Graduation program, picnics and field trips.
• Approve lesson plans and classroom schedules created by classroom teachers.
• Monitor each classroom daily to observe teaching practices and staff compliance
• Review assessments and observations for all students monthly
• Oversee lunch bunch and PDO program
• Responsible for communication with families regarding upcoming events, closings, etc.
• Intervene in all parent, teacher conflicts when necessary
• Maintain and keep secure each child’s file ensuring that health and immunization records are complete and up-to-date.
• Establish and maintain disciplinary procedures
• Discipline students as needed. Create a behavior plan and communicate with teachers and parents of said plan
• Purchase and inventory supplies. Keep a record of purchases with receipts
• Monitor performance and evaluate staff with yearly written evaluation
• Ensure program compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations covering equal opportunity employment.

Paths to Quality, State & Federal Regulations:
• Ensure staff members have received CPR/First Aid and Universal Precautions training.
• Comply with all State Board of Health requirements including yearly TB testing.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and inspections as required by the State of Missouri, City of Fenton and St. Louis County
• Conduct regular fire drills, tornado drills and yearly earthquake drill.
• Manage staff and attendance assuring proper staff to child ratios
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and necessary trainings
• Ensure all staff receive required education and training. Maintain training records
• Manage center wide strategic plan, ensuring goals are being met
• Plan and implement family conferences, parent nights and educational programming
• Active member of Hillside Preschool Board of Directors and attend quarterly meetings

You may be asked to perform other tasks other than those listed here. We hope that you are able to remain flexible to the constantly changing needs of the children and the Preschool.

BENEFITS
Hillside Preschool does not currently offer medical, dental or vision coverage. We do offer paid sick and vacation time.
• Job Type: Part-Time
• Salary: Hourly wage, depending on qualifications
• Hours: Monday - Wednesday, 9am – 12pm; Thursday & Friday, 9am – 1pm

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Preferred Educational Requirements:
• Child Development Associates Degree and/or
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent

Preferred Experience:
• Licensed Childcare and Management experience
• Early Childhood Education experience
