HIPPY is an evidenced-based early learning program that supports parents in their critical role of being their child?s first and most influential teacher. They are currently serving 90 families in Monroe county, this is done with a coordinator and five home visitors. Over the past 14 years HIPPY of Monroe county has served over 1300 families. In the HIPPY model, home visitors deliver 30 weeks of quality school readiness curriculum directly to the parent, who then works with their own two, three or four-year-old child. HIPPY supplies the books, curriculum and materials needed for the parent to teach their child.

Prima Girl is a nonprofit mentorship organization dedicated to empowering young girls ages 10 to 18.
Based in Atmore, Prima Girl is expanding its reach and launching a new group right here in Monroeville. The program focuses on building leadership skills, confidence, and character while preparing young ladies to succeed in their lives, schools, and communities.
The Monroeville group will be coordinated by Bria Royster, and an interest meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at 9:00 am in Monroeville.

Gulf Coast Council serves youth across Southwest Alabama and the Florida Panhandle through programs that focus on character development, leadership, community service, outdoor adventure, and personal growth. The organization offers opportunities for young people through Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts programs.
Scouting America's mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices throughout their lives by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Gulf Coast Council serves Monroe County through its Longleaf Pine District and continues to make a positive impact on youth and families throughout the region.

Revive Frisco City is a non profit organization thats mission is to revitalize downtown Frisco City. The organization is made up of volunteers that work towards the betterment of the town Frisco City, AL.
This is the local chapter of Monroe County for the National Wild Turkey Federation. The non-profit group awards a $750 scholarship to a local Monroe County high school and also hosts an annual banquet generally in March.

Children from birth to age 5 are eligible to be enrolled and each enrollee will receive a personally inscribed age appropriate book delivered monthly, equating to as many as 60 books, for the child?s personal library.
