The development at Lake Almanor West includes both public and private facilities. The golf course and restaurant at Lake Almanor West are open to the public and operate on a seasonal basis. The golf course opens after the snow melts and the grass has recovered (typically about mid April) and remains open until the first heavy frosts or snows of autumn (generally late October). The restaurant typically opens around the first of May and remains open through September.
Lassen Cafe and Gift is located at the South West entrance of Lassen Volcanic National Park at the Kohm Yah Mah nee Visitor Center.
