Over 30 years ago, Sky Island Alliance was formed by a group of passionate people who recognized the need to protect the Sky Island region, which spans southern Arizona, northern Sonora, and the southwest corner of New Mexico and where six biotic influences meet and 55 mountain ranges tower over desert and grasslands. This incredible diversity of habitat creates a home for more than 7,000 species, including black bears, jaguars, more than half of the continent?s birds, and creatures found nowhere else on Earth. In 2022, SIA took a big step into the future. Through a legacy gift from supporter Andrew O?Dell, they created the Forever Fund in partnership with the Arizona Community Foundation. They chose ACF, in part, because of the foundation?s large asset pool, which allows their fund to weather financial ups and downs. They were also drawn to the foundation?s socially and environmentally screened investments. Their goal is to raise enough money in the next 10 years to support 50% of their annual operations into the future, so they can keep doing their work in the Sky Islands through science, conservation, education, advocacy, and volunteerism.

Benson Hospital, located in Benson, Arizona, is a 22 bed facility providing care to both medical and surgical patients. A pharmacy is located in the facility served by a pharmacist. The hospital has six locally based physicians and physician specialists who serve the community on an appointment basis in areas such as cardiology, podiatry, mammography, and rehabilitation. A relatively new redesigned Emergency Room (ER) now offers a specialized 8-bed unit designed to provide quality emergency care 24 hours a day, every day of the year. In March 2011, Benson Hospital received Level IV Trauma Center designation for the ER from the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of EMS and Trauma System. The hospital is now one of 13 in the state designated as a Level IV Trauma Center which supports the state?s Level I Trauma Centers in being able to resuscitate and stabilize a patient and transfer the patient to a more appropriate trauma center based on a patient?s injuries.

The mission of CANTER is to promote the health and independence of individuals with disabilities or special needs using equine assisted activities in a safe and caring manner. CANTER is accredited by PATH International, the national organization that sets the standards for therapeutic riding centers throughout the country. CANTER is one of only three Premier Accredited riding centers in the state of Arizona. This accreditation results from on-site inspections by PATH International in which our programs, instructors, horses, facilities, volunteers, and documentation are reviewed. In therapeutic riding, the student actively performs exercises on the horse. The exercises are supervised according to a plan developed by our instructors. Physiotherapeutic exercises can be divided into stretching, relaxing, and strengthening. Additional exercises will influence equilibrium, reflexes, coordination, posture and confidence. Psychologically, therapeutic riding develops self-awareness and improves both self-discipline and concentration. The bond between horse and rider provides strong motivation for achievement. Our goal is to have students learn to ride to the best of their ability.

Echoing Hope Ranch's (EHR's) mission is growth, discovery and lifelong learning in safe and respectful homes and communities for adults and teens with autism and other developmental disabilities. The guiding philosophy of Echoing Hope is to acknowledge each person as a dynamic human being and to help them build as full and satisfying life as possible. Each individual with autism has a unique set of skills and strengths. Nela Townsend is the President. The Kiwanis Club of Sierra Vista San Pedro was chartered on January 16, 1988. Able to attract leading Sierra Vistans, especially professionals, educators, public servants, and business people, San Pedro has developed into a respected force in the community. All Kiwanis clubs are organized to a standard basic plan. Each club has great freedom in developing its own service projects, fundraising activities, meeting procedures, customs and character. Over the years, San Pedro Kiwanis has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars generating money to make major donations to the children of Cochise County. Through its foundation, Just Kids Inc., San Pedro's fundraising potency has allowed the club to make grants and donations to hundreds of organizations and for special emergency causes, scholarships, permanent community projects and many youth programs. San Pedro Kiwanis mixes fellowship, networking, club business, community service and enrichment through weekly meetings to create a formula that leads to personal growth, lifelong friendships and community outreach that is underscored in the Kiwanis moto: Serving the Children of the World.

Peach's Pantry is dedicated to fighting childhood hunger in our community. We are a food backpack program, sending non-perishable food items home weekly with students in 18 local schools, identified by school personnel as being food insecure. We also distribute Thanksgiving Food Boxes and respond to emergent requests. We began in the spring of 2013 serving 11 students in one school. Since our approval as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2016, we have grown exponentially. We couldn't have continued our operations these past 9 years and grown in size and scope with out the tireless work of our volunteers, the support of our donors, and the partnership with our school and nonprofit partners. We are always looking for new partners in our community.

The Real Wishes Committee began in 2005 with the help of local REALTORS® and Business Partners. The concept was simple: Help those in our community who were in need. The principle has not changed. In the first two years, the Committee was able to help over 30 families with necessary repairs to their homes, fencing, a shed, painting, furniture, and even a new porch. In 2008, the Real Wishes Committee formed a 501(c)3 Foundation and continued its commitment to helping those in need.

Thunder Vette Set (TVS) was founded in mid-1985 and incorporated on January 31, 1986. Our membership varies, but has remained generally steady at approximately 30-40 active members at any given time. Recognizing that people enjoy different things, the leadership of TVS has created a dynamic environment that is suitable for everyone. Members of TVS participate in car shows, rally's, funk-hans, auto crosses, monthly drive & dines, parades, and local homecoming events. Thunder Vette Set takes pride in our community. Each year we host events to raise money for different not-for-profit organizations in Cochise County. Members of TVS are called upon each year to support Veteran's Day & Christmas parades in the county. In addition, we support the local high schools during their homecomings and parades. If you have an event that you would like TVS to support, please contact us. Thunder Vette Set is a member of the National Council of Corvette Club (NCCC) Roadrunner Region. Our membership in the Roadrunner Region connects us to about a dozen Corvette clubs in Arizona, New Mexico, & El Paso. Our membership in the NCCC expands our network to the national level, which connects TVS to countless clubs all over the nation. To show our support to other organizations members of TVS travel to events primarily within the Roadrunner Region. Our members have also been known to participate in National caravans, as well as events put on by other regions in Las Vegas. We truly have no limits to supporting our Corvette brethren.

Veritas opened its doors in the fall of 2000 with a full kindergarten through twelfth grade program. We are a group of committed Christians called from all walks of life, housewives, teachers, missionaries, florist, service men and women, to teach the truths of God and His Creation in the classical tradition. Veritas Christian Community School is not affiliated with one particular denomination or church, but is sponsored by local churches. Calvary Chapel, Grace Church, and the Sierra Vista Baptist Church have supported Veritas from the beginning as sponsoring churches.
