We are beginning a life long dream-to provide compassionate aftercare and service to the pets in our community. I know what it feels like to grieve deeply for a lost pet and have folks think it?s insignificant or that you ought to get over it quicker than you are able. My family and I served SC for over 75 years in the burial vault business- now at 62 , I?m working to create a loving and caring pet funeral home to be there when you need us. I?m planning the grand opening this spring and you and your pets are invited to drop in and tour our facility and enjoy some refreshments and sign up to win door prizes that you and your pet will love. We?ll have our famous ?Grammy?s Gherky? my homemade chemical free dehydrated chicken breast and Dehydrated fresh Cod strips for our pet guests to enjoy. Plan to meet our certified grief counselor, Heather Leigh and your Pet Directors and Funeral Home owners, Mike and Margie Johnson as well as local artist, Lily Leaphart who created the painting that became our logo. Columbia Pet Cremation Center is a proud member of ICCFA and Pet Loss Professionals Alliance. We?ll Recognize CPCC?s 2019 PET AMBASSADOR . She faithfully tells all her Soda City friends about us- and that we are a safe, loving place to send their humans when It?s time for them to cross the rainbow bridge. We have an on-site chapel if you choose a public memorial service . In addition to 3 cremation process options, we offer burial, inurnment and graveside services at your home or pet Cemetery. We provide a free obituary to be published on our website and Facebook page for any of our families who choose to announce their loss. We will make a donation to one of the following in memory of your pet by name to Pets,Inc. Pawlmetto Lifeline, Sunset Felines or Collie Rescue of the Carolinas. I have supported RESCUE all my life and each of these organizations or their members have positively impacted my journey. We hope you enjoy years of loving companionship with your beloved pet. At Whetzel?s Automotive it is all about the extended family, or other businesses might call them, customers. Whetzel?s Automotive is a family owned and operated business, that is dedicated to providing excellent automotive service to Columbia and the Midlands area. The owner, Rob Whetzel, developed a love for he automotive industry at an early age, setting a goal of owning his own automotive repair shop. He began with a small engine repair and from there attended Midland Technical College to obtain certification in all aspects of automotive repair. Rob also served as a jet engine mechanic in the United States Air Force, for 12 years, while continuing to work toward his passion of having an automotive repair shop. The passion was he wanted to help others keep their car in top shape and the extended family was born.
Now Rob and his wife, Kathy are living his dream of owning Whetzel?s Automotive and serving people in the Midlands. They are active in their local community, attending The Harvest Church and sponsoring local ministries throughout the area. Rob serves on the Midlands Technical College Automotive Advisory Board and is a member of the Columbia Executive Business Owners Association. Kathy has her own amazing background and brings 20 years of automotive management experience to the business. She encouraged Rob to follow his passion and together, they are an unbeatable pair and knowing you that ensure you and your vehicle will be treated like family. My personal favorite part of the family are Abby and Baxter, the shop?s boxers who are very lovable and there just for fun.
Focused on providing superior service, their highly trained staff takes pride in maintaining and repairing your vehicle. By working with each individual customer to make them feel comfortable with automotive repair decisions. A.J., the shop foreman, quality checks each vehicle to further assure your satisfaction. Rob says, ?The guys in the shop are what it?s all about, they make it happen! We work on all makes and models of vehicles, which requires periodic training to maintain the highest level of service, even on the newest most sophisticated models.?
Whetzel?s makes the inconvenient convenient, offering shuttle service to work and even picking up vehicles for repairs when possible. They realize that being without your vehicle while repairs are made can be a stressful and inefficient. For most people to be able to focus on what they have planned while their vehicle is being repaired is greatly appreciated and a continued valued service.

We are the contracted provider for 23 hospitals in 30 counties across the two-state area. We partner with you, the local volunteer blood donor, to fulfill our mission.
