Event Description
Join us on Thursday January 10th for a rapid fire review of the hot topics from the BOLI Annual Employment Law Conference. Each year Jackie Shaw of Get Organized! attends the conference. She has teamed up with Lindsay Briggs of Jeanne Smith & Associates and Kristi Hart from Barker-Uerlings Insurance to share need to know information. Do you know what policies, processes and documentation you need to be in compliance? Do you know when and if State & Federal employment laws and Health Care Reform affect your business? Did you know you may need to track “sick kid” days?
Topics will include the Nineteen “No No’s” for Employers, Case Law Updates, and Health Care Reform Summarized and Simplified. Each attendee will receive a BOLI flash drive ($10 value) containing all the handouts from the conference. That’s a four in binder’s worth of employment law knowledge!
Anyone who manages employees or makes payroll or employment decisions should attend. Supervisors, managers, and bookkeepers should take advantage of this event. Ignorance is no defense when it comes to employment law. Employment law includes independent contractors so business owners, even those without employees, are strongly encouraged to represent at the event.
