Do numbers freak you out? Do you suffer from math anxiety?
To succeed in business you must understand your financial position. That means looking at and understanding the numbers. Jackie Shaw, professional organizer, accountant, and entrepreneur will present “Women, Math, and Financial Reporting.”
Together we will conquer fears of mathematics and asking “dumb questions” as well as review what financial reports are telling you.
Jackie is the founder of Get Organized! whose mission is to increase the amount of happiness in the world by helping people deal with their stuff. She is also the Controller and HR Manager at a high tech company in Corvallis, a math tutor, and board member of a local non-profit.
Jackie’s background includes an Honors Baccalaureate combining mathematics and art as well as supplemental instruction and tutoring of mathematics, art, and chemistry.
Whether its time for you to conquer your math fears or you simply want to brush up on your knowledge of financial statements, this event will provide you with basic tools to use in the accounting landscape.
