Lighted Holiday Parade Entry

The 26th Annual Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce lighted holiday parade will celebrate “Hometown Holidays” on Thursday, November 30th at 6 p.m. Please note the new date!

The DACC Holiday Committee is seeking participation and looks forward to seeing your imagination come to life. We will be judging floats with a small prize awarded for best use of theme and creativity. Judging will take place prior to the parade at 5:30 p.m. (only those present at time of judging will be included).

The parade will line-up on South Avenue (in front of Schluter-Balik Funeral Home). The parade will start at 6:00 pm and travel to Riverside Avenue to Water Street. Once on Water Street the route will continue through downtown and turn right on Mill Street at the Vesterheim Museum. Please let us know the size of your entry in advance so we can plan to accommodate large trucks.

Reserve your entry by Monday, November 20th. Parade line-up numbers will be sent via e-mail during the week of November 20th.

A reminder for all entries, no live Santa’s are to be included in parade entries. Santa will be the Grand Marshal at the end of the parade.
