This year an extremely important court case took place in California; Vergara–vs-California, which struck down teacher tenure. This case could have a profound impact on teacher tenure laws across the country, including Minnesota. Marcellus McRae, the co-lead counsel in the case who gave the closing arguments, will address our Chamber membership. It’s important to note that the public school system in Minnesota is ranked higher than California when measured in student test scores.
