Register for the first Steps to Great Networking Lunch and Learn. I hope this will be an ongoing series that will help our Chamber Members improve their networking skills. When we have Lunch and Learn availability I will choose a a networking subject that will hopefully help us hone our networking skills. I will invite a Chamber Member or area business leader to speak on that particular subject.

This month in our Steps to Great Networking Lunch and Learn we will discuss THE ELEVATOR PITCH. Do you have a Elevator Pitch that you use regularly? Need help in creating one? Do you know the purpose of an Elevator Pitch?

An elevator speech is a clear, brief message or “commercial” about you. It communicates who you are, what you’re looking for and how you can benefit a company or organization. It’s typically about 30 seconds, the time it takes people to ride from the top to the bottom of a building in an elevator. (The idea behind having an elevator speech is that you are prepared to share this information with anyone, at anytime, even in an elevator.)



This month, I have asked Chamber Member Daniel Andrews with Network in Action to led our Lunch and Learn. We will start the class with a general outline of the needs and purpose of The Elevator Pitch. We will have time to partner up and practice your Elevator Pitch. At the end, we will have an "open mic" for those that want to test there Elevator Pitch in front of the group. For those that participate in the "open mic" opportunity, we will choose a Best Elevator Pitch. That person and their business will be featured in the Chamber July Newsletter.
