About Us

The Monroeville Area YMCA is a centrally located, state-of-the art facility offering fitness, camp, childcare, aquatics, sports, and community programs to members and participants of all ages. Members enjoy full use of the main facility at 2197 South Mount Pleasant Avenue. Our patient and caring staff will guide you and your family to the programs that best meet your goals and life style. And, whether you are a new or experienced exerciser, you will have access to the well-maintained fitness equipment that is effective and easy to use.

We are a United Way Organization.

We are dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and a strong community and we encourage your feedback, suggestions and involvement.

Together, the nation’s 2,400 YMCAs are the largest not-for-profit community service organizations in America, working to meet the health and social service needs of 17.5 million men, women and children in 10,000 communities. YMCAs are for people of all faiths, races, abilities, ages and incomes. Our strength is in the people we bring together.

For over 150 years, the YMCA has brought innovative programs and services to kids and families in and around the city of Monroeville. Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We live our mission every day.

This means that working families can feel more secure knowing their children are in high quality, affordable childcare. It means that seniors have a place to strengthen their bodies and their connection to their neighbors. And it means that families will have a place where they can grow together.

As we look to the future, we will continue to develop strong communities, protect the integrity of family life and provide children with the skills and values necessary for a successful, contributing adulthood.

We invite you to become apart of this family and community phenomenon. Join the Monroeville Area YMCA today!
