Founder of beremedy to speak at UNG's Gainesville Campus

Canterbury has been featured on CNN, Huffington Post, ScoutMob, Star94, 11Alive, and local news in 36 cities, 28 states and four countries. Canterbury and beremedy have both been featured at Catalyst Conference, one of the world's largest conferences for young church leaders, and beremedy has been named one of the "Three best Twitter usages worldwide" by CNN.  beremedy's greatest success thus far was its use of social media to network the United Nations, United States Marines, Haitian Police, and multiple other organizations to aid 100,000 people after the Haitian earthquake in 2010.

"It is an honor to have someone on campus who has made such a tremendous positive impact on the world through his work," said Dr. Donna Mayo, dean of the Mike Cottrell College of Business. "Blake is a great individual and a dynamic speaker. Attendees should look forward to this event."

The 2013 Cottrell Speaker Series features four speakers, with two speakers presenting in the fall and two speakers in the spring. Michael Cohn, founder and senior vice president of marketing for CloudSherpas, served as the first speaker of the year. Spring speakers will be announced later in 2013.

The Nov. 4 session on the Gainesville Campus is open to the public. Live simulcasts of the event will be available on every campus for students, faculty and staff to participate.
