Be a Santa to a SENIOR The Oconee Chamber of Commerce is supporting the Oconee Action Inc. in buying Santa gifts for Oconee senior citizens.This is the ninth annual event and is sponsored through Home Instead Senior Care and Athens Community Council on Aging. We are encouraging our members to stop by the chamber office and pick out a senior to buy gifts for. There is a tree in our lobby and the ornaments are tags with gift ideas. Oconee County Library Advisory Board NOTICE OF APPOINTMENTS TO OCONEE COUNTY ADVISORY BOARDS & COMMITTEES The Oconee County Board of Commissioners is seeking citizen applicants for appointment to the following advisory committee: Oconee County Library Advisory Board: One appointment to begin immediately for an unexpired term to expire December 31, 2016. Members review and approve budgets, establish policies governing library programs, and present financial and progress reports. Meetings held quarterly on the second Monday at 4:30 pm. Location varies between Oconee Library, 1080 Experiment Station Road, Watkinsville and Bogart Library, 200 South Burson Avenue, Bogart. Interested persons may request applications and additional information regarding these positions from the Board of Commissioners Office, 23 North Main Street, P.O.
