About Us

Here at Feather River Recreation and Park District (FRRPD), we are all about FUN and ENJOYING the beautiful natural setting we live in. From the District’s outstanding facilities such as Riverbend Park and Bedrock Skate & Bike Park to the historical Municipal Auditorium, we proudly offer many outlets for recreational activity. We offer youth and adult sports at both Gary Nolan and Nelson Sports Complexes, and swim lessons at Palermo and Nelson Pools.

Since 1953 we’ve been a leader in providing recreational opportunities to our community. We collaborate with local schools and agencies to provide recreational and leisure services. We participate in and celebrate the area’s traditional events such as Feather Fiesta Days and the Salmon Festival. In addition, we offer community events such as a Winter Talent Show and the free Summer Concerts in the Park.
