CHAPTER 6
THURSDAY
SEPTEMBER 17, 2009 7:30 PM
Emerging from a course at Millikin University, Chapter 6 became the youngest group to ever qualify for the Chicago-area National Harmony Sweepstakes. After winning that title for three straight years, they captured the national title in 2004. Numerous awards later, this six-man a capella troupe tours across North America and Asia, performing a family-friendly show that features intricate harmonies and first-class stage wit. Whether a signature piece, such as "Ode to Krispy Kreme," Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," or the American Idol-featured group's very own award winning 8 minute version of "The Wizard of Oz," audiences revel in Chapter 6's superb musicianship and adventurous spirit.

DANIEL RODRIGUEZ
TUESDAY
MARCH 09, 2010 7:30 PM
Former New York City police officer, Daniel Rodriguez has experienced a meteoric rise to fame. He was one of his department's designated anthem singers on September 11, 2001, when fate intervened--he rendered a capella performances of "God Bless America" and the National Anthem that proved far greater than a patriotic gesture. Ringing, heartfelt and beautiful, his performance stirred the hearts of the entire nation.
Since then, he has performed at venues ranging from the 2002 Winter Olympics, to Disneyland, to The White House. A pillar of courage and faith, Daniel Rodriguez is truly an inspiration, who freely shares his deep appreciaiton for life, God and country.
INTERSECTION
WEDNESDAY
APRIL 21, 2010 7:30 PM
The violin, cello and piano trio, Intersection, has forged a powerful connection with audiences worldwide. As the group's numerous recordings top classical and crossover charts in Asia, their fan base continues to rapidly grow throughout Europe and the U.S.
Their program is anything but typical -- a Hungarian thread in Brahms may spin into Gypsy tunes, Dvorak into Slavic dance forms, Ravel into ethereal French renderings. And...they present American repertoire spanning avant garde and popular genres. Drawing inspiration fron their home base in New York, Intersection is an exciting musical embodiment of vitality, verve and diversity.
The OROVILLE CONCERT ASSOCIATION is organized and operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and committees (reception, membership drive, student matinees). If you would like to become involved with our Association please contact the Association President, Sharon Wedin, 589-0836
