Defining Statement
All animals deserve a loving home. Our goal is to make Butte County a "no kill" county by controlling the births of unwanted animals who suffer because people don't take the responsibility of spaying or neutering their pets. It is vital that people understand the importance of this. The animals depend on us to care for them. They don't want to have litters of kittens and/or puppies whose futures are uncertain. They can't speak for themselves. We must do it for them.
Mission Statement
PAWS, Promotion of Animal Welfare Society, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to control the suffering of animals via spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation and homelessness, and to render medical treatment when resources allow. We believe that every pet deserves a qualilty of life that includes a loving home. Education of the public about the necessity of spaying and neutering must remain a continuous objective.
