Foreword

You don't feel like cooking tonight, do you?  Eat at Mike's Grande Burger or Shakey's Pizza tonight and help put Roxy the Arson Dog through school.    A portion of all sales will be donated to Roxy's training fund.  Once her training is complete, Roxy will be a member of the Oroville Fire Department's arson investigation team. 

 

The Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud sponsor of this week's FRRPD Concert in the Park.  Come listen to the gypsy sound of the Feather River Gypsies at Riverbend Park on Thursday evening at 6:30pm.  Great music, vendors selling food & beverages, kids playing in the park & on the beach or taking a pony ride - it's a nice way to spend an evening.  Feather River Recreation and Park District coordinates these free concerts every summer - Thank you!

Take your family somewhere different and fun for a change of pace, and it's affordable too at only $7 a ticket for the Oroville Night with the Chico Outlaws Aug 7th at Nettleton Stadium.  Cheer on our local team, eat some hot dogs and crackerjack!   Get your tickets now at the Chamber office.  The Chamber will receive a portion of ticket sales - support the team, support the Chamber!

Senior Services Fair

The first annual Senior Services Fair will showcase the businesses, support services, and amenities that are available to senior's and caregivers in the surrounding Oroville area. The ODBA is proud to announce the August First Friday event. The Oro Dam Cruisers car clubs kicks it off with a cruise and car display and Big Cat Custom Cycles will show their motorcycles. APBA's 2010 National Outboard Hydroplane Championships

Event Date: 08-07-10 - 08-15-10, Event Time: 9:30am
Location: Thermalito South Forebay State Park

This event is the nationwide "National Championships" for the race year 2010 of American Power Boat Association's Outboard Hydroplanes and Runabouts. Small and medium-sized boats of extreme speeds for the size of the craft. Competitors arrive from approximately 24 states to compete against local California racers. Spectator admission is free, but there is a $4 state park parking fee.

Pastel Artist Marilyn St. Clair

Enhanced Business Technical Assistance Program

The City of Oroville Department of Business Assistance and Housing Development has contracted with two consultants to assist new and existing businesses within city limits to assess their bookkeeping, training and marketing plans at no charge to the businesses.
