Run-A-Muk Resort and Lodge is the premier Dog and Cat Play Care and Boarding venue in Arizona. Run-A-Muk was founded by Veterinarian Dr. Brice Smith (who has also maintained a partnership in the business) of Mile Hi Animal Hospital almost 10 years ago. The entire complex has been designed from the very beginning to have the utmost safety, security, health and wellness of your pets. The facility is almost 1 full acre of Dog nirvana and boasts outdoor pools, gym equipment and plenty of space so Fido can run free and play with their friends in a supervised environment. We believe in an active, socialized outdoor daytime play and nighttime rest so your furry friend is well balanced and happy through their entire stay with us.

We have 24- hour on-site management (Owner-Operator lives on-site and is Dog Day Care certified and animal first aid certified) so your pet is safe even during sleep time, 24 hour Police

Pet of the Month

Yavapai Humane Society

Hello, I’m Apollo! I’m a Canaan Dog—one of the world’s oldest breeds and the official dog of Israel, where my breed is still used to herd sheep. I’m an athletic but a slim boy, weighing in at 46 pounds at 4 years old. I have a double coat, making me an ideal dog for our desert weather—it keeps me cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I love to be active and I’m very smart, if I do say so myself. I have lived with a family and am friends with kids, cats, other dogs, and even farm animals. I walk nicely on a leash, am house and crate trained, and enjoy being groomed. I know, I know…I don’t mean to brag but I do think I’m a pretty wonderful best friend. So what are you waiting for? Come meet me at Yavapai Humane Society’s Adoption Center (1625 Sundog Ranch Road, Prescott) or call 928-445-2666 to learn more about me.
