Nooter/Eriksen's Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day
Nooter/Eriksen, is an engineering company which designs and supplies heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) for the
power industry, located in Fenton MO. Our address is 1509 Ocello Drive, Fenton MO 63026.
We are hosting a free event to introduce and encourage participation by girls in engineering. Women are typically
underrepresented in the field and we hope to educate girls about the opportunities in engineering and encourage more
women to enter the profession. We want women in engineering to become the norm.
It will be a fun half day of learning and include hands on engineering activities as well as a discussion about careers with
women engineers. Lunch will be included.
Event will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 9AM to noon. Registration is required and will be open through June 15,
2024. This event is open to all female, trans female and non-binary individuals from ages 10-18.
Agenda:
9AM - 9:15AM - Arrival and Registration
9:15AM - 10AM - Introductions
10AM - 11AM - Split into teams by age group for engineering activities
11AM - Noon - Wrap up, Q&A and lunch will be provided.
We ask that parents/guardians drop off by 9AM and pick up no later than 12:15PM.
