Class Offers Resources for Caregivers

The class topics and dates are as follows.

Oct. 2: Taking care of yourself.

Oct. 16: Identify and reduce personal stress.

Oct. 23: Communicating feelings/needs/concerns.

Oct. 30: Communicating in challenging situations.

Nov. 6: Learning from our emotions.

Nov. 13: Mastering caregiving decisions.

The Powerful Tools for Caregivers class can help caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, balance their lives, better communicate feelings, increase the ability to make tough decisions and learn to locate helpful resources.

The class is co-facilitated by Jill Agyekum, Anoka County Family Caregiver Connection program coordinator, and Kelsey Fuglsby, caregiver support specialist for the Anoka County Family Caregiver Connection.  The cost is $45 and includes all six sessions, books and materials.
