Roderick weighed in on various topics during the board meeting, including construction at Quincy High School.

His background

Before being hired by Plumas Unified, Roderick was the Senior Director of Student Services at the Lake County Office of Education. An educator since 2000, he began his career as a high school geography teacher. He later became an athletic director, vice-principal, and principal in the Placer Union High School District. He served for 12 years as the principal of Middletown High School in Lake County. He also coached football, wrestling, and track and field.

During his tenure at Middletown High School, the Middletown community was devastated by the Valley Fire, and Roderick led the school district’s recovery efforts, including getting the high school reopened and providing support for students, families, and staff.

Roderick and his wife, Shaun, have two daughters in college. He is looking forward to living in Plumas County where he can spend free time pursuing his hobbies of hunting, fishing, and golf.
