Marine Mammal Stranding Network Volunteer Training

The Whale Museum and SeaDoc Society are hosting two training sessions for anyone who is interested in volunteering for the San Juan County Marine Mammal Stranding Network (SJCMMSN).  SJCMMSN responds to approximately 200 calls per year of live and dead stranded marine mammals. Volunteers will be trained to conduct field investigations of live and dead animals, mitigate the harassment of live stranded animals, assist with necropsies (i.e., animal autopsies) and educate the public.
