Local Authors Book Event

Need a good summer book?  Why not shop LOCALLY for some fun in the sun reading?  Mark your calendar for Aug 11 and join us at the Mullis Community Center at 589 Nash Street, Friday Harbor, from 7-9 PM. to meet more than 15 talented local authors and learn about their works. Signed copies of their books will be available for purchase or you can bring a pre-purchased copy to be signed. Participating authors include Janet Dann, Susan Wingate, Eva Elasigue, Jennifer Jacobs, John Boyd, Mosa Boczewska, Tim Boyer, John Geyman, Wendy Shephard, Paul Chadwick, Peter Fromm, and Tammy Ashcraft.  There will be something for everyone: fantasy, children’s lit, medical politics, mystery, graphic novels, poetry, inspirational memoirs, coloring books for all ages, animal stories, historical fiction, and more. Interested in publishing your own book? Bruce Conway, local author and self-publishing consultant, will also be available to answer your questions.  Admission is FREE.  Light snacks will be provided.  Wine and sparkling water will be available for purchase.  All proceeds benefit the Mullis Community Senior Center operations and activities.  If you’re a local author who’d like to participate, please contact Anna at mulliscenter@gmail.com, 360-378-9102
