Living with Wildlife

Join staff from Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and The Whale Museum to understand more about human/wildlife issues, to discuss wildlife problems you may have encountered and to consider ways we can reduce these issues, so we can live more harmoniously together. Part of the beauty of living on the San Juans is the abundant wildlife, but this can also be part of the challenge. Heron flying over or otters diving in the bay are not just scenery. They are working hard to make a living and raise their kids. Their quest for food and shelter can bring them into conflict with the human inhabitants of our island home and our activities can have major impacts on their lives. Through becoming more aware of the impacts of our actions, visitors and residents of San Juan Island can learn to be better stewards of the wildlife that share their home with us.
This evening is free and open to the public. For more information, call (360) 378-4710 ext. 30 or email info@whalemuseum.org.  The Whale Museum is located in Friday Harbor at 62 First St. N. Both organizations can be found online: The Whale Museum at www.whalemuseum.org and Wolf Hollow at www.wolfhollowwildlife.org
