Barbershop Bonanza

As always we feature songs in the A Cappella close-harmony style everyone finds so enjoyable. This year you’ll hum the words to familiar pop songs like "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond, “Yesterday” by the Beatles, “Daydream” by the Lovin’ Spoonful, “When I’m Gone” (the Cups song), “King of the Road” by Roger Miller and “California Dreamin’” by the Mammas and Poppas. With a total of nearly 30 songs, you are sure to hear many of your favorites!
Sharing the stage with the Island Chordsmen Plus are the “Sound Vibrations” San Juan Islands acclaimed women’s A Cappella group, “Three Grandads and a Tenor” the only A Cappella quartet on the island, and from off-island “The Squares” a young, fun and vibrant quartet from Canada.
The Chordsmen motto is “In any event HAVE FUN” so come join us for-the-fun-of-it at the San Juan Community Theatre on Saturday, June 1st at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 from members of the local groups mentioned or at the theatre box office.
