We at the Chamber of Commerce appreciate all submissions for the Weekly Member Message and the Events Calendar on the Chamber’s web site. To submit promotions or announcements for the Weekly Member Message email chamberinfo@sanjuanisland.org with the information in the body of the email or as a Word attachment, by Noon Tuesday. PDF or JPEG files cannot be used. If you are sending out bulk emails in a contact management system, these types of emails cannot be used in the Chambers Weekly Member Message.
 
To post events on the Chamber’s Events Calendar web site go to www.sanjuanisland.org click on the “Members Quick” on the browser bar and then click on the “Submit Your Events” tab and fill in the blanks.

First Annual Music Festival

Lakedale Resort

Lakedale Resort at Three Lakes has announced its First Annual Music Festival, featuring renowned jazz guitarist Brian Nova. On September 2–3, attendees will enjoy performances on Lakedale’s lodge deck overlooking beautiful Neva Lake. The festival is open to all ages. It is produced by Lakedale Resort at Three Lakes, and food will be provided by Seattle’s celebrated Mobile Mavens food trucks.

Summer Lecture Series Whale Museum

On September 7, Krista Trounce, the Enhancing Cetacean Habitat and Observation (ECHO) Project Manager, will present how the ECHO Program, a Vancouver Fraser Port Authority-led initiative, is working with national and international collaborators to develop mitigation measures that will lead to a reduction in potential threats to at-risk whales in the Salish Sea as a result of shipping activities.

FRIDAY HARBOR FILM FESTIVAL

The 2017 Friday Harbor Film Festival programs have arrived!  At 56 pages is it by far our most comprehensive program to date, which is a perfect way to celebrate our 5th Year of the Film Festival!!  For 2017 we have 32 films and 15 shorts screening at six venues, all with in an easy walk from the ferry.  The San Juan Community Theater (Whittier and Gubelman), the Grange, Isle Seat, (next to 2nd Act), the Brickworks and the Palace Theater!
