"Dolores Huerta Documentary

Soroptimist International of Friday Harbor

Soroptimist International of Friday Harbor and the Friday Harbor Film Festival, the in collaboration with the San Juan Island School District and the San Juan Community Theatre are pleased to announce the screening of “Dolores”, the autobiographical documentary of Dolores Huerta, on January 29, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the San Juan Community Theatre. This is a FREE community event, with limited seating available on a first come first served basis. The film will be followed by a Q&A session with Ms. Huerta.

Whale Museum Education Department Volunteer Open House

On-site volunteer opportunities include becoming a docent to educate visitors and youth about marine mammals as well as serving as preschool and elementary teaching assistants. No experience is necessary – training will be provided! Scheduling can be flexible although most school groups typically visit the museum from 11 am -1 pm on weekdays so that would be the time(s) of most need.
